Larkana : A grand ceremony was organized at the Begum Nusrat Bhutto Memorial Hall, Larkana, to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day and highlight the importance of inclusion and equal rights for persons with disabilities.
The event was attended by representatives of four government institutions and partner organizations working for persons with disabilities, along with children, parents, and members of civil society.
On the occasion, children expressed their love for Pakistan, national unity, and the spirit of independence through impressive tableaux, speeches, and other creative performances. Their presentations were warmly appreciated and encouraged by the participants.
Through their performances, the children demonstrated their abilities and conveyed a powerful message that disability cannot become a barrier to talent, dreams, or the spirit of serving the nation.
Larkana Deputy Mayor Muhammad Amin Sheikh, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh Khair Muhammad Sheikh, Regional Head Zahida Ghaus Kakipoto, Deputy Director Saeed Ahmed Jatoi, Deputy Director Akbar Khokhar, Riaz Hussain Abbasi, Altaf Thebo, and other distinguished participants praised the children’s performances and encouraged them.
The speakers expressed solidarity with Pakistan’s independence, national unity, and the equal rights of persons with disabilities. They emphasized that building a strong and developed Pakistan requires providing every segment of society, particularly persons with disabilities, with equal opportunities, dignity, and meaningful social inclusion.
The participants reiterated their commitment to building a Pakistan where every individual can progress according to their abilities and where no disability becomes a barrier to anyone’s rights, dignity, opportunities, or participation in society.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the security, development, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan. Participants also expressed their patriotic spirit by raising enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
