Pano Aqil: Chairman of the Ulama Peace Committee Sindh, Mufti Jameel Ahmed Korai Advocate, has filed an important legal petition against the alleged poor performance of the Pano Aqil Municipal Committee, inadequate civic facilities, the deteriorating drainage system, sanitation problems, and alleged discriminatory treatment in certain areas.
Several neighborhoods of Pano Aqil continue to face serious problems, including piles of garbage, inadequate sanitation, and poor drainage. At the same time, citizens have expressed serious concern over the effective and transparent utilization of the municipal committee’s monthly and annual budgets.
The petition is being described as a positive and constructive step aimed at safeguarding the legitimate fundamental rights of the people of Pano Aqil and ensuring a clean environment, improved drainage, proper sanitation, and better municipal services.
It is hoped that, Insha’Allah, this legal struggle will result in the people of Pano Aqil receiving their legitimate rights and will lead to practical progress toward resolving the city’s longstanding civic problems.
If the relevant issues are not addressed, legal action will, Insha’Allah, be pursued within the framework of the law before the High Court and relevant accountability institutions. The objective is to play an effective role in resolving civic problems and ensuring the transparent and proper use of public resources.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Sukkur District, has also expressed its full support for this struggle. JUI Sukkur District Emir Maulana Muhammad Saleh Inder has strongly backed the legal and public efforts of Mufti Jameel Ahmed Korai Advocate and assured that he will continue to extend cooperation at every stage, whether through legal proceedings or peaceful protest.
The campaign, according to its organizers, is not directed against any individual. Rather, it is aimed at securing the fundamental rights of the people of Pano Aqil, promoting a transparent municipal system, and ensuring better civic facilities for residents.
