MATIARI : Persons with disabilities staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office in Matiari against the alleged denial of employment under the disability quota.
The protesters, including Wasim Ahmed, Saqeeldino Anar, Sohail Mirjat, Sajid Memon, Arsalan Memon, Muzaffar Khoso, Ayaz Memon and Mubeen Jamali, said they had reached the DC office to demand their legitimate rights, but expressed disappointment that the Deputy Commissioner was allegedly unwilling to meet them.
The protesters said they were facing serious financial difficulties and had even been struggling to provide for their children. They demanded that the authorities immediately resolve their issue and provide them with lawful employment under the disability quota.
They stressed that they were not seeking charity or donations, but were demanding their legal and legitimate right to employment. They appealed to the authorities to listen to their grievances, ensure justice and provide them with employment so they could live a dignified life.
The protesters warned that continued failure to address their demands would further increase their difficulties and urged the district administration to take immediate action on the matter.
