HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Police have arrested 12 suspects during separate operations against criminal elements, drug dealers and suppliers of harmful Mainpuri and Gutka across the district.
The operations were carried out on the directives of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharejo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar. Police teams have intensified their actions against drug peddlers and suppliers of Mainpuri and other harmful substances.
Hosri Police
SHO Inspector Liaquat Ali Qambar, along with his team, conducted an operation during routine patrolling. Police arrested Mainpuri seller Naeem Panhwar and recovered 200 packets of Mainpuri from his possession.
A case, Crime No. 322/2026, was registered against the suspect under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.
Tando Jam Police
SHO Inspector Ayaz Ali Bughio and his team took action during patrolling and arrested three alleged drug sellers identified as Muhammad Akram Punjabi, Shakeel Rajput and Suleman Qambarani.
Police recovered 30 litres of locally made liquor from their possession. A case, Crime No. 192/2026, was registered under Sections 3/4 of the Prohibition Ordinance.
Paban Check Post
In-charge Paban Check Post Muhammad Ali Korai and his team arrested alleged drug dealer Khalid Hussain Sawan alias Ashraf Mangwano during patrolling.
Police recovered five litres of locally made liquor from his possession. A case, Crime No. 321/2026, was registered under Sections 3/4 of the Prohibition Ordinance.
Chhalgri Police
SHO Inspector Sarfraz Ali Qureshi and his team arrested three alleged Mainpuri sellers identified as Nisaullah Chhalgri, Ali Raza Chhalgri and Shayan.
Police recovered 85 packets of Mainpuri from their possession and registered Crime No. 47/2026 under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.
Airport Check Post
In-charge Sub-Inspector Mohsin Ali Jamali and his team arrested alleged drug dealer Muhammad Ahad Sheikh during patrolling.
Three bottles of liquor were recovered from his possession. Police registered Crime No. 359/2026 under Sections 3/4 of the Prohibition Ordinance.
B-Section Police
SHO Inspector Sajjad Hussain Jatoi and his team conducted an operation during patrolling and arrested three suspects identified as Nasir Masih, Javed Ali Sheikh and Hassan Odh.
Police recovered six bottles of liquor from their possession and registered Crime No. 183/2026 under Sections 3/4 of the Prohibition Ordinance.
Hyderabad Police said that operations against criminal elements, drug dealers and suppliers of harmful Mainpuri and Gutka will continue across the district.
