SUKKUR — Bureau Report: A young writer who reportedly went missing from Sukkur’s Township area 10 days ago remains untraced, causing serious concern and distress among his family members.
The missing man, identified as Aamir Ansari, is a resident of Khara. His family members, women relatives, nationalist activists and civil society representatives staged a protest outside the Sukkur Press Club, demanding his immediate recovery.
Family Seeks Immediate Recovery
Speaking to the media during the protest, Nasim Ansari, Salma Ansari, Nazir Khokhar, Zahid Mangrio and others said Aamir Ansari had come to the Township area around 10 days ago as a guest at his maternal aunt’s house.
According to his family, he left the house for some work but did not return.

The family said they had informed Sukkur Police about the disappearance, but despite the passage of 10 days, no information regarding the young man’s whereabouts had been received.
Family Fears Possible Abduction
The protesters expressed apprehension that Aamir Ansari might have been allegedly abducted by unidentified individuals.
They said the family had been suffering severe mental anguish and uncertainty since his disappearance and urged law enforcement agencies to treat the matter as a serious case.
The protesters also emphasized that Aamir Ansari was a young writer and described his sudden disappearance as particularly concerning.
Demand for Thorough Investigation
The protesters called on police and other law enforcement agencies to investigate the disappearance from every possible angle and accelerate the search using modern technology.
They urged authorities not to treat the case merely as an ordinary missing-person incident, stressing that a family had been waiting for 10 days for the safe return of their loved one.
During the protest, Zahid Mangrio also called for the recovery of his son Asghar and 26 other children whom he said had also been abducted.
Appeal to Senior Police Officials
The protesters appealed to the Inspector General of Sindh Police, DIG Sukkur Range, SSP Sukkur and other senior officials to immediately take notice of Aamir Ansari’s disappearance.
They demanded effective measures to trace and safely recover the young writer, along with a transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
The protesters said the authorities should make every possible effort to locate Aamir Ansari and provide relief to his worried family by ensuring his safe recovery at the earliest.
