Protests were held in various cities in support of a woman who was killed by an immigration officer in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
Demonstrations took place in cities including Minneapolis, New York, and Los Angeles. Amid rising tensions, the Department of Homeland Security deployed additional personnel to Minneapolis.
In this context, Vice President J.D. Vance claimed that the woman brought the tragedy upon herself and that ICE agent Jonathan Rass has full protection.
He also claimed that Jonathan Rass was injured while attempting to arrest an undocumented immigrant in June.
It should be noted that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials had shot and killed the woman in the head during a raid in Minnesota.
