KARACHI, August 8: Global Educational Higher Secondary School Karachi organised a colourful and impressive ceremony to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. Students expressed their patriotism and showcased their academic and creative abilities through national songs, speeches, tableaus and unique science projects.
The chief guest at the event was Dr Fahad Shafiq, Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Sindh. A large number of students, teachers, parents and distinguished guests attended the ceremony.
During the programme, students highlighted the struggle for Pakistan’s independence, national unity and their commitment to the country’s development. They presented national songs, speeches and tableaus, which were warmly appreciated by the audience.
A major attraction of the event was the science projects exhibition, where students presented innovative projects based on research, creativity and scientific ideas. The exhibition demonstrated the potential of Pakistan’s young generation to contribute to research, technology and innovation along with their academic studies.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Dr Fahad Shafiq appreciated the students’ abilities and the efforts of their teachers. He said Pakistan’s bright future depended on educated, talented and responsible young people.
He said educational activities of this kind helped students develop confidence, patriotism, research skills and creative thinking.
Principal and owner of Global Educational Higher Secondary School Tahira Jahangir said Independence Day was not merely a national celebration but also an opportunity to renew the commitment to loyalty, unity and responsibility towards the country.
She said the younger generation was Pakistan’s valuable asset and providing students with quality education, national awareness, positive thinking, research opportunities and creative activities was a shared responsibility.
Tahira Jahangir said the school aimed not only to provide students with academic education but also to develop them into capable, responsible and well-mannered citizens.
She praised the students for presenting innovative science projects and said their work reflected their hard work, intelligence and creativity. She added that Pakistan’s future was in the hands of talented young people and that schools should provide an environment where every child could develop their abilities and contribute to national progress.

At the end of the ceremony, students who presented outstanding science projects were encouraged and appreciated for their efforts.
