Trump Claims US Is the Only Country Feared by China and Russia

Washington, D.C.: Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States is the only nation that both China and Russia fear, asserting that NATO would be ineffective without American involvement. The remarks were made in a statement released on social media, where Trump outlined his views on international alliances, military spending, and global geopolitics.

Trump argued that without the United States, NATO lacks influence, stating that the alliance’s power and credibility stem primarily from American participation. “The only nation that Russia and China both fear—and respect—is the rebuilt United States,” he wrote, emphasizing his belief in the strategic dominance of the US military on the global stage.

In the post, Trump highlighted his record of ending eight wars during his presidency and claimed that his policies saved millions of lives. He also referenced Norway, a NATO member, noting that the country did not select him for the Nobel Peace Prize, but insisted that this recognition—or lack thereof—was irrelevant compared to the lives his policies protected.

Trump also criticized NATO member states for previously failing to meet their defense spending commitments, arguing that many countries were not contributing their fair share to the alliance’s budget. According to Trump, he compelled NATO members to increase defense spending to 5 percent of their GDP, which he claimed resulted in countries now making payments promptly.

However, Trump expressed doubts about NATO’s reliability in future conflicts, saying he was uncertain whether the alliance would support the US if needed. Despite this, he stressed that he would always stand ready for NATO, whether or not the alliance reciprocated.

On the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Trump asserted that without US intervention, Russia would have already occupied the entire country, suggesting that American involvement prevented a complete takeover. This statement reinforces his broader narrative of America’s central role in maintaining global security and geopolitical stability.

Trump’s remarks come amid continued debate over NATO’s role, the defense commitments of member nations, and the growing influence of China and Russia in international affairs. By framing the United States as the sole deterrent to major global powers, Trump emphasized his belief in strong American military and diplomatic leadership as the cornerstone of international security.

In conclusion, Trump’s social media statement underscores his view that the US remains the most powerful and respected military force in the world, feared by strategic rivals and crucial to the effectiveness of international alliances like NATO. His comments highlight ongoing questions about alliance cohesion, defense spending, and US leadership in global security.
