SUKKUR (Bureau Report): An uncle and his nephew from Ghotki, who have recovered after a successful liver transplant at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, visited Sukkur Press Club and thanked the hospital administration, doctors and especially Director Rahim Bakhsh Bhatti.
Speaking to the media, Liaquat Ali Gabol said he was admitted to Gambat Hospital last month for a liver transplant. His nephew donated a portion of his liver to him. A team of specialist doctors, led by Dr Abdul Wahab Dogar, successfully performed the complicated transplant surgery.
Liaquat Ali Gabol said that, by the grace of God, both he and his nephew were now recovering well and returning to normal life. He appreciated the medical facilities and support provided by the hospital staff throughout the treatment.
Family members accompanying the patients said the complicated liver transplant was performed free of cost. They added that both the recipient and donor were doing well after the surgery and were recovering satisfactorily.
The family also expressed special gratitude to the hospital administration and Director Rahim Bakhsh Bhatti for their support and cooperation during the treatment.
They said they had personally witnessed the cooperation of the hospital’s doctors and staff and urged the public not to pay attention to what they described as baseless rumours and negative propaganda against the institution.
The recovered patient and his family praised the doctors and administration for successfully performing the transplant and providing quality medical care.
They said facilities such as those available at Gambat Hospital were giving patients from Sindh and other parts of Pakistan new hope and a chance at a better life.
