ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that all Muslim countries should come together in view of the situation involving Israel.
Speaking about the defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, the defence minister said that all three countries face the threat of terrorism.
Khawaja Asif said details of the defence agreement between the three countries would be made public.
He said Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye had provided the Muslim world with a platform for greater cooperation.
The defence minister stressed that the agreement should not mean closing the door to other countries. He said other Muslim countries should also be able to become part of broader cooperation.
Referring to Israel, Khawaja Asif said all Muslim countries should unite and work together on issues affecting the Muslim world.
He described the agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye as a beginning of greater unity in the Islamic world.
The minister also said that differences between Muslim countries should be brought to the same platform so that they could be addressed through dialogue and cooperation.
He emphasized that stronger cooperation among Muslim countries could help them deal with common security challenges and other regional issues.
