LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to several Pakistani cricketers, allowing them to participate in overseas leagues.
According to the PCB, Hasan Nawaz, Haseeb Shah, Naseem Shah, and Usman Khan have been granted NOCs to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
NOCs have also been issued to Moaz Sadaqat, Sahibzada Farhan, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Shadab Khan for participation in the CPL.
The players have been granted permission for the period from August 19 to September 21.
Left-arm spinner Nauman Ali has been issued an NOC to represent Lancashire County until September 27.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris has received permission to participate in the CPL from August 7 to September 20.
Mystery spinner Usman Tariq has also been granted an NOC to play in the CPL from August 8 to September 18.
Meanwhile, Usama Mir has been issued an NOC to participate in the CPL from August 7 to September 21.
The PCB’s decision will allow the players to gain valuable experience in overseas professional competitions while representing their respective franchises.
Participation in international leagues also provides Pakistani cricketers with opportunities to compete alongside players from different countries and gain exposure to different playing conditions and coaching environments.
The NOCs have been issued for specific periods, allowing the PCB to coordinate the players’ participation with Pakistan’s international commitments and domestic cricket schedule.
The CPL is one of the major franchise T20 competitions, and the participation of Pakistani players is expected to add further experience and quality to the tournament.
The players will be required to return according to the terms and duration specified in their respective NOCs.
