Karachi South District Police Report: Encounter at Saddar Leads to Arrest of Suspects

Location: Saddar, Karachi

During routine patrol near Parking Plaza in Saddar, the police engaged in an encounter with suspected motorcycle-borne criminals. The incident resulted in one suspect being injured and another apprehended without any injury to the police personnel.

According to the official report, the Saddar police signaled the suspects to stop, but upon spotting the police team, the suspects opened fire. The police responded promptly and effectively, leading to the outcome of one injured suspect and one arrested unharmed.

The injured suspect has been identified as Nihal, also known as China, son of Ashok Kumar. The suspect arrested unharmed is Rehan, son of Muhammad Jan.

Recovered from the suspects were:

  • One TT pistol, 30 bore, along with 2 live rounds and 2 spent shells.
  • One stolen motorcycle, black in color, make: Unique 70, registration number: KPS-1321. The motorcycle was reported stolen from the Saddar Police jurisdiction, and a corresponding case is registered at Saddar Police Station.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects are habitual offenders with multiple prior arrests from various police stations. Their full criminal records are currently under review.

The injured suspect was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment, while the unharmed suspect was taken to the police station for further legal proceedings. Additional legal actions against the suspects are underway.
