National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that he did not invite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for talks.

Talking to media, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that in a meeting with Aamir Dogar, matters related to the upcoming session of the National Assembly were discussed.

He said apart from asking for the names of his MNAs at the Independence Day ceremony, nothing was discussed.

He added that I do not know if there was any talk of talks with Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.

‘I am tired of giving invitations for talks; now I have stopped asking for talks,’ Ayaz Sadiq said.

He said the Prime Minister has also invited him for talks in the forum of the Parliament several times.

The opposition people due to whom the parliamentary committee was formed did not request its revival, he added.

He said the solution to every problem lies in sitting together, but saying so in the media does not lead to negotiations.

The PTI may have chosen the opposition leader so that he could hold talks, but he may not have been allowed to hold talks, Ayaz Sadiq said.

The National Assembly Speaker said we will use the staff that the PTI standing committee chairmen have if they return them.

He said if the opposition leader does not want to come to my chamber, I will vacate the chamber if they come to the committee room.

But the fact is that they do not want to hold talks at all, he added.
