Chhahasi (By Mir Usama Shanbani): A mourning procession led by young children was held in Chhahasi in remembrance of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the Martyrs of Karbala, with devotees expressing their reverence in a peaceful and solemn atmosphere.
The procession began from Noorani Jamia Mosque, Ali Abad, and proceeded along its traditional route before reaching Chhahasi Main Chowk. A large number of mourners participated, paying tribute to the sacrifices of Karbala through mourning rituals.
During the procession, participants performed Zanjeer Zani (self-flagellation with chains) and Seena Zani (chest beating), while elegies (Nohas) were recited to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions. The event was marked by a deeply emotional and respectful atmosphere.
Following the procession, a Majlis-e-Aza (mourning congregation) was held. Addressing the gathering, Maulana Ghulam Ghazi Hujjati, Maulana Hakim Ali Haideri, and other religious scholars highlighted the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions, emphasizing their enduring message of truth, justice, steadfastness, and the protection of Islamic values.
Strict security arrangements were put in place by the police throughout the event. Volunteers from Anjuman Fidayan Shahzada Ali Akbar (AS), Anjuman Fidayan Shahzada Ali Asghar (AS), and the Jafaria Scouts assisted with security and organizational duties, helping ensure that the procession concluded peacefully without any reported incidents.
