Hyderabad: Site Police in Hyderabad have arrested two suspected drug dealers and recovered more than 2.5 kilograms of hashish during an operation against narcotics trafficking, police officials said.
According to police, the operation was conducted by Site Police Station under the supervision of SDPO/DSP Dr. Sanobar Riaz and led by SHO Shaukat Ali Malukani, along with his team.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ameer Jan, son of Dost Muhammad Umrani, a resident of Shah Latif Colony, Site Area, Hyderabad, and Mazhar alias Mozu, son of Azhar Brohi, also a resident of Shah Latif Colony, Site Area, Hyderabad.
During the operation, police claimed to have recovered 1,260 grams of hashish from the possession of Ameer Jan and 1,250 grams of hashish from Mazhar alias Mozu, bringing the total recovery to 2,510 grams.
Police have registered a case against both suspects at Site Police Station under Crime No. 113/2026 in accordance with Section 9-C of the Control of Narcotic Substances (CNS) Act.
According to officials, the arrested suspects remain in police custody, and further investigation is underway to determine the source of the narcotics and identify other individuals who may be involved in the alleged drug supply network.
Police authorities stated that operations against drug traffickers will continue without discrimination as part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotics-related crimes and protect young people from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
