Mianwali: Four children, including three girls and one boy, tragically died from suffocation after becoming trapped inside a parked car while playing in the Khaglanwala area of Mianwali, police said.
According to police officials, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when the children entered a parked vehicle during play. The car door reportedly locked accidentally, leaving them trapped inside.
Unable to get out of the vehicle, the children suffocated before they could be rescued.
Police said the bodies were recovered and handed over to their families after the necessary legal formalities.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.
The tragedy has left the local community in shock and serves as a reminder for parents and vehicle owners to ensure that parked cars remain locked and inaccessible to children, as enclosed vehicles can quickly become life-threatening, especially during warm weather.
