Stolen Mobile Phone of Senior Journalist Jahangir Khan Recovered by Sukkur Police, Efforts Underway to Recover Remaining Items
SUKKUR: Sukkur Police recovered the stolen mobile phone of senior journalist Jahangir Khan and handed it back to him, while efforts are continuing to recover the remaining stolen belongings.
According to details, the mobile phone and wallet of senior journalist Jahangir Khan were stolen from his residence near Numayish Chowki, Sukkur, during the early morning hours. Following the incident, the matter was reported to C Section Police Station, where a formal complaint was registered.
The stolen wallet contained approximately Rs. 22,000 in cash, which has not yet been recovered. However, with the efforts of Sukkur Police, the stolen mobile phone was traced and recovered before being returned to its rightful owner.
The incident was reported to Numayish Chowki In-charge Sattar Chauhan, who immediately took action and informed senior police officials about the matter. Later, SP Sukkur Sohaib Amin was contacted, who directed the SHO C Section to take immediate steps for the recovery of the stolen items.
As a result of continuous efforts by the SHO C Section, the police team, and Numayish Chowki officials, the stolen mobile phone was successfully recovered. Police officials said that action is underway to arrest those responsible for the theft, and further recoveries are expected soon.
The SHO C Section stated that on the directives of SSP Sukkur and ASP Sukkur, police operations against criminal elements have been further intensified. He said that any incident of theft or injustice against citizens, particularly journalists, would not be tolerated, and strict legal action would be taken against those involved.
The timely response, responsible role, and efforts of Numayish Chowki In-charge Sattar Chauhan in resolving the citizen’s complaint were also appreciated. Police said that efforts are continuing to recover the remaining stolen belongings and bring the suspects involved in the incident to justice.
