ISLAMABAD, Aug. 1: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has denied social media reports claiming that the party’s founder, Imran Khan, is receiving medical treatment in the jail hospital due to high blood pressure or any other illness.
In a statement, Barrister Gohar said that the former prime minister is not under treatment in the prison hospital for high blood pressure or any other medical condition.
He rejected what he described as unverified reports circulating on social media and urged media organizations and the public not to share or broadcast information about the health of Imran Khan or Bushra Bibi without proper confirmation.
Barrister Gohar stated that he had verified the matter with the relevant authorities and had also informed Imran Khan’s family about the situation.
He reiterated PTI’s position that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are being unjustly detained and called for proper medical care, where required, as well as their release.
Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of PTI, is currently imprisoned at Adiala Jail.
