Sukkur: Members of the Kalhoro community staged a protest outside the Sukkur Press Club, alleging the illegal occupation of their home, obstruction of their access route, and inaction by the police. The protesters appealed to senior authorities to provide justice and protection.
The demonstration was attended by Abdul Ghaffar Kalhoro, his wife Javedan Kalhoro, their children, and family members Naseebullah Kalhoro and Najeebullah Kalhoro.
Speaking to the media, the family alleged that Ajeeb Kalhoro, along with several associates, had unlawfully occupied their house. They further claimed that the accused had blocked their only access road by filling nearby drainage channels, making it difficult for the family to enter or leave their property.
According to the protesters, they have submitted several complaints to the police regarding the matter, but no effective action has been taken so far.
The family alleged that the lack of police action and what they described as official bias had left them fearing for their lives and property.
They also claimed that the Station House Officer (SHO) of the local Sangi Police Station was supporting the accused, enabling them to continue issuing threats to the family.
The protesters appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, and other relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the case.
They demanded legal action against those they accused, the removal of the alleged illegal occupation, restoration of access to their property, and the provision of justice and security for the affected family.
The allegations made by the protesters have not been independently verified, and no response from the police or the individuals named in the allegations was immediately available.
