Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan increased sharply on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs4,000 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).
The association said the price of one tola of gold climbed to Rs431,736 following the latest increase.
The price of 10 grams of gold also moved higher, rising by Rs3,430 to Rs370,143.
The increase in domestic gold prices follows gains in the international bullion market. According to the association, the global gold price rose by US$40 per ounce, reaching US$4,093 per ounce.
Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by trends in international markets as well as fluctuations in the exchange rate, resulting in daily changes in local bullion prices.
