ISLAMABAD: The Registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a 30-day notice to Justice Babar Sattar, directing him to vacate his official residence in Islamabad following his transfer to the Peshawar High Court, according to the notice.
The notice states that the Estate Office cancelled the allotment of the official residence on 3 July. As Justice Babar Sattar has been transferred from the Islamabad High Court to the Peshawar High Court, he has been given one month to vacate the government accommodation.
According to the text of the notice, the notice period is deemed to have commenced from 3 July, the date on which the official residence was cancelled by the Estate Office.
Sources said that after his transfer, Justice Babar Sattar did not obtain official accommodation in Peshawar and instead decided to retain his residence in Islamabad.
The notice follows administrative procedures related to the allocation of official residences for judges serving in different high courts. No public response from Justice Babar Sattar regarding the notice was immediately available.
