PPP MPA Soheil Anwar Siyal Holds Open Public Forum in Larkana
LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA and former Sindh Home Minister Soheil Anwar Siyal held an open public forum at his residence, Sial House in Anwarabad, where he listened to public complaints and directed relevant authorities to resolve civic issues.
Speaking to the media, Siyal said the PPP has always believed in public service, equality, and addressing people’s problems beyond election campaigns. He pledged to keep his doors open for citizens and personally follow up with government departments to resolve their grievances.
He said development initiatives aimed at improving sanitation, water supply, drainage, and other civic services were being implemented in line with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, President Asif Ali Zardari, and MPA Faryal Talpur.

The administration invited parents from Larkana and surrounding areas to enroll their children, stating that the institution offers qualified male and female teachers, modern educational facilities, and a clean learning environment to ensure quality education.
Sindh Ombudsman Orders Arrest of Revenue Officer for Non-Compliance
LARKANA: The Regional Office of the Sindh Ombudsman has ordered the arrest of Mukhtiarkar Revenue Ratodero Mahmood Ali Panhwar after he allegedly failed to appear before the Ombudsman’s office despite being summoned on June 29, 2026, in connection with a complaint filed by Abdul Qayyum Tagar.
The SSP Larkana has been directed to produce the official before the Ombudsman’s office on July 24. The order states that the arrest may be waived if the official furnishes Rs20,000 in cash security along with a Rs20,000 surety bond before arrest.
Primary Teachers Felicitate Newly Elected Larkana Press Club Office-Bearers
LARKANA: A delegation of the Primary Teachers Association (PTA) visited the Larkana Press Club to congratulate its newly elected office-bearers.
The delegation presented traditional Sindhi ajraks and flower garlands to General Secretary Tariq Mahmood Durrani, Vice President Hanif Suhag, Joint Secretary Rashid Samoon, and other journalists and photographers.
Teacher leaders praised local journalists for highlighting public issues and giving a voice to marginalized communities and government employees.
Larkana Bar Association Protests Police Action Against Demonstrators
LARKANA: The Larkana District Bar Association staged a protest rally condemning the alleged baton charge and arrests of demonstrators protesting for the recovery of Priya Kumari at Babarlo.
Bar leaders, including President Javed Baloch and General Secretary Amir Sohoo, criticized the police action, saying peaceful protest is a constitutional right. They demanded the immediate release of those arrested and the recovery of Priya Kumari and other missing children.
Primary Teachers Demand Service Structure, Warn of Long March
LARKANA: The All Sindh Primary Teachers Association (PTA) has urged the Sindh government to immediately approve the long-awaited service structure for primary school teachers, warning of a province-wide protest if their demands remain unmet.
Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the association’s newly elected central body, PTA Central President Haji Shafi Muhammad Sathio said teachers have waited 78 years for a proper service structure and called on lawmakers to raise the issue in the National and Sindh Assemblies.
The association demanded implementation of promised promotions to Grades 17, 18, 19, and 20, along with improved allowances and other benefits.
Teachers warned that if the government fails to issue a notification within 15 days, they will launch a long march from Ubauro to Karachi Press Club and stage a hunger strike until their demands are accepted.
PPP MPA Khurram Kareem Soomro, addressing the ceremony, assured participants that he would facilitate a meeting between the teachers’ leadership, Faryal Talpur, and the Chief Minister of Sindh to help resolve the service structure issue. He also stressed the importance of the teaching profession and pledged support for teachers’ legitimate demands.
