LAHORE: Samiya Khan, the wife of Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali, has responded after a viral social media video falsely claimed to show the national cricketer.
The video, which has been widely circulated online, reportedly originated in India and shows a man traveling on a train who is allegedly being assaulted by police personnel.
Some social media users claimed that the individual seen in the footage was Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali. However, no credible evidence has been presented to support that claim.
Samiya Khan Rejects the Claim
Reacting to the viral posts, Samiya Khan shared a message on her Instagram Story, criticizing the spread of unverified information on social media.
She wrote that what saddened her most was how easily people in both countries believe and share false news without verifying it.
According to her post, she said it was unfortunate that “people from both countries are so innocent that they believe any fake news and help spread it.”

In a light-hearted remark, Samiya added that it had been three years since they had visited India, joking that perhaps people there were missing them and were simply looking for an excuse to mention them.
She also accompanied her post with laughing emojis, indicating that she was treating the viral claim with humor rather than concern.
