ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis Aoun Chaudhry has called on Noreen Niazi, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, to apologize to the nation over her controversial remarks regarding Maarka-e-Haq.
Reacting to her statement, Aoun Chaudhry described it as regrettable, irresponsible, and against the national interest, saying it had hurt the sentiments of the Pakistani people.
He urged Noreen Niazi to issue a public apology, adding that “the snakes within PTI pose the greatest threat to the country” and accusing elements within the party of pursuing politics aimed at creating unrest.
The minister said Maarka-e-Haq is a matter of national pride, adding that India would remember its defeat for generations. He stated that the entire nation is proud of Pakistan’s security forces for their role in the operation.
Aoun Chaudhry further emphasized that Pakistan’s national interest must come before politics, saying the country’s identity and unity should always take precedence over political differences.
He also praised the armed forces, saying they had upheld the country’s honor through their performance under the leadership of the Field Marshal.
