ISLAMABAD: Meta’s social media platforms Facebook and Instagram have been restored after experiencing a temporary global outage that affected users in Pakistan and many other countries.
For several hours, users across different regions reported difficulties accessing their accounts on both platforms.
Many users said that whenever they attempted to sign in through the mobile app or website, they were greeted with a message stating that their accounts were temporarily unavailable.
The error message indicated that the issue was caused by a problem on the platform’s side and advised users to try again later, assuring them that the problem would be resolved soon.
The services have since resumed normal operation, allowing users to log in and access their accounts without interruption.
Meta has not yet issued an official statement explaining the cause of the temporary disruption.
