DADU: A widowed woman has alleged that her sons were falsely implicated in a criminal case and have been missing after their alleged arrest by police, calling on senior authorities to ensure a transparent investigation and justice.
Addressing a press conference at the PCU Press Club Dadu, Ms. Zareena Rahojo, a resident of WAPDA Colony, expressed concern over what she described as a false FIR registered against her sons at Booriri Police Station and their subsequent alleged disappearance.
She stated that around ten months ago, her daughter-in-law Saima Khaskheli allegedly died by suicide and claimed that the chemical examination report had cleared the matter. However, she alleged that several individuals, including Khadim Khaskheli, Sadar Khaskheli, Badr Ali, Khalid, Zaheer, Rustam, Ghulam Mustafa, and Sajjan Khaskheli, later got another false case registered against her sons Sartaj Rahojo, Munir Rahojo, and others.
According to Ms. Rahojo, her sons appeared before a court on July 11 and were allegedly taken into custody by Booriri Police while returning from the hearing. She claimed that since then, the family has received no information regarding their whereabouts and fears they may be in illegal detention and at risk of harm.
Describing herself as a widow, Ms. Rahojo said she was deeply worried about the safety of her sons. She appealed to the Inspector General of Sindh Police, the DIG Hyderabad Range, the SSP Dadu, and other senior officials to take immediate notice of the matter, produce her sons before the law, conduct a fair and transparent inquiry, and withdraw the FIR if it is found to be baseless.
During the press conference, she demanded that the authorities ensure justice in accordance with the law and investigate her allegations of misconduct.
Note: The allegations made during the press conference are the claims of the complainant and have not been independently verified. The police or other parties named in the allegations have not responded in the information provided.
