Police in Naran on Thursday arrested four tourists whose vehicle had been washed away by Kunhar River after they drove their car into it on Wednesday in violation of section 144, imposed by the district administration of Mansehra to prevent people from going near the rivers and taking bath in them,

On the other hand, DSP Sadaqat Khan said that the Vigo Dala, belonging to tourists, had been retrieved.

He informed that those taken into custody were Sultan, son of Zahid Jameel, Ali Usman, son of Shahbaz, Mohsin Khan, son of Muhammad Zaman and Asif Ali, son of Muhammad Akram, all residents of Sheikhupura.

Later, all four of them were presented in a court.

On Wednesday, four youth fell into the Kunhar River while they were making a video of their vehicle passing through the river.

However, rescuers saved all four of them from being drowned and thus averted a disaster.

Meanwhile, their vehicle was washed away by water, which was retrieved on Thursday.
