Punjab government has sought applications for the post of Vice Chancellors (VCs) for various public sector’s medical universities,
The applications have been invited for the post of VCs of King Edward, UHS, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi Medical University. The deadline of the applications has been set till July 20. The age limit for the candidates should not be above 70 years. A minimum of Second Division in MBBS is mandatory.
A postgraduate degree or a PhD in Basic Medical Sciences is required for the Vice-Chancellorship.
Ten years of experience as a Professor and 20 research papers are mandatory for the Vice-Chancellor of a medical university. Professors up to the age of 70 are eligible to apply for the position of Vice-Chancellor of medical universities until July 20.
The professors, holding honorary membership of any other institution, are not eligible for the post of VC. The professors holding private practices are out of the race as the disconnection from any other institution or organization is mandatory for VC ship.
