KARACHI: The Defence Police in Karachi’s District South have arrested two suspected drug dealers, including a woman, during a successful operation against narcotics trafficking, officials said on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the District South Police spokesperson, a police patrol intercepted a suspicious vehicle on Creek Road in the Defence area during routine patrolling.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 110 grams of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as “Ice”) from the possession of the suspects. The seized narcotics were taken into police custody as evidence.
The arrested suspects were identified as Kunza Salman and Muhammad Shehryar. Both were taken into custody and shifted to the Defence Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Police have registered a case against the suspects under FIR No. 500/2026 in accordance with Section 9(2)(3) of the Control of Narcotic Substances (CNS) Act, 2024, at Defence Police Station.
Authorities said that further investigation is underway to determine the source of the narcotics and whether the suspects are linked to a larger drug trafficking network operating in the city.
The operation is part of the ongoing campaign by Karachi’s District South Police to curb the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in the area.
The statement was issued by the District South Police spokesperson under the supervision of SSP Mahzoor Ali.
