The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Yahya Khan Afridi, participated in the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, where he held a series of important meetings with leading judicial figures and legal experts from around the world.
According to an official statement, the Pakistani delegation engaged with senior members of the international legal community and discussed ways to strengthen judicial cooperation, promote legal exchanges, and enhance collaboration between court systems.
During the forum, the Chief Justice emphasized the importance of expanding international judicial cooperation and sharing best practices to improve the administration of justice.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to building a modern, efficient, and technology-driven judicial system.
Pakistan and Russia’s judiciaries agreed to enhance cooperation and explore opportunities for greater engagement in areas of mutual interest.
Discussions also focused on judicial exchanges, capacity-building initiatives, and digital reforms aimed at improving court efficiency and accessibility.
The Chief Justice presented Pakistan’s ongoing judicial reforms and digitalization efforts before the international forum, outlining measures being taken to modernize court operations.
