Hyderabad, June 5, 2026: Hyderabad Police have stepped up operations against criminals, anti-social elements, drug dealers, and sellers of illegal substances under directives issued by DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharijo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar. As part of the ongoing campaign, police arrested three suspects, seized a large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes and recovered several bottles of liquor during separate operations across the city.

Counterfeit Cigarette Supply Foiled in Khursheed Town

According to police officials, Pinyari Police Station SHO Inspector Munir Ahmed Abbasi and his team acted on confidential information and conducted a raid near the wall of the Filter Plant in Khursheed Town.

During the operation, police foiled an alleged attempt to distribute a large quantity of counterfeit and potentially hazardous cigarettes. The suspected supplier, identified as Saleem Soomro, managed to escape from the scene after noticing the police presence.

Authorities recovered 60 cartons of counterfeit cigarettes of various brands from the location. Police stated that the seized products were suspected to be fake and potentially harmful to public health.

A case, registered as Crime No. 123/2026, has been lodged against the absconding suspect under Sections 269, 270, 482, 485, and 486 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Efforts are underway to arrest the accused.

Two Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested by A-Section Police

In a separate operation, A-Section Police Station SHO Inspector Agha Asad Pathan and his team conducted a patrol operation that led to the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in illegal liquor distribution.

Police identified the arrested individuals as Tanveer Odh and Hammad Odh. Two additional suspects, identified as Junaid and Osama, reportedly fled the scene during the operation.

Officials stated that a total of 12 bottles of liquor were recovered during the action. Following the recovery, police registered Crime No. 277/2026 under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prohibition (Hudood) Order against both the arrested and absconding suspects.

Police teams are continuing efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects.

Market Police Arrest Another Suspect

Meanwhile, Market Police Station SHO Inspector Niaz Muhammad Khoso and his staff carried out another patrol operation targeting illegal activities within their jurisdiction.

During the operation, police arrested a suspect identified as Ayub Khan Rind Baloch. Officials reported recovering four bottles of liquor from his possession.

A case, registered as Crime No. 187/2026, has been filed against the suspect under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prohibition (Hudood) Order.

Ongoing Operations Across Hyderabad

Hyderabad Police stated that operations against criminal networks, drug dealers, counterfeit goods suppliers, and other anti-social elements are continuing across the district.

According to the police spokesperson, law enforcement agencies remain committed to maintaining public safety and taking action against activities that threaten public health and security.

Officials emphasized that further raids and intelligence-based operations are expected as part of the broader campaign aimed at curbing crime and illegal trade in Hyderabad.

The district police have urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report suspicious activities to help strengthen efforts against criminal elements operating in the city.
