ISLAMABAD: In a significant development, sources say Bushra Bibi’s daughter is likely to be allowed to meet her mother at Adiala Jail soon after assurances were reportedly given that details of the meetings would not be politicized or discussed publicly.
According to informed sources, the development follows quiet backchannel contacts and efforts aimed at easing tensions regarding family meetings. Authorities were reportedly concerned after details of an earlier meeting surfaced on social media.
Sources also said efforts are underway to secure permission for Imran Khan’s sisters to meet him, though progress may depend on written assurances from family members to avoid public statements about such meetings.
Meanwhile, concerns were reportedly conveyed to PTI leadership over statements attributed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur during recent public and media interactions. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, however, declined to comment on the matter when contacted.
