Supporting Pakistan’s principled stance on unprovoked aggression by India, US President Donal Trump on Saturday shared excerpts from a speech made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the 81st meeting of the United Nations’ General Assembly on social media.
The prime minister, in his speech, had said that India invented an excuse to attack Pakistan. “But Pakistan Army, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, foiled Indian designs by giving it a befitting reply. Pakistan Army, by showing professional preparedness and expertise, taught its enemy a lesson which it will never forget,” he added.
PM Shehbaz had also said that President Trump, by bringing wars in different parts of the world to an end by using diplomatic channels, saved millions of lives.
