The Sindh government has appointed five lawyers as assistant advocate generals with immediate effect to fill vacant positions in the provincial law officers’ setup.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Criminal Prosecution Department on Tuesday, the appointments were made with the approval of the chief minister under Rule 3-D of the Sindh Law Officers (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1940.
The newly appointed assistant advocate generals are Muhammad Shahid, Abdul Waheed, Salman Ahmed, Amjad Hussain Balhro and Saima Imdad Mangi.
The notification said all five law officers would serve on terms and conditions admissible under the relevant rules and as notified by the Sindh government.
The appointees have been directed to report for duty to the office of the Advocate General Sindh, where they will take up their assignments with immediate effect.
The notification was issued by Sindh Law Secretary Saeed Ahmed Shaikh and is dated Sept. 23, 2026.
Assistant advocate generals represent and assist the provincial government in legal proceedings before courts and work under the office of the Advocate General Sindh.
