Unruly scenes were witnessed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday when the high court extended the interim bail granted to a suspect in a rape case, inviting the wrath of the girl’s mother and other women who surrounded the suspect.
The girl’s mother and other women started beating up Hasnain, the suspect, who retaliated and threw them to the ground.
Other suspects, too, kept trying to thrash the women.
The woman alleged that Hasnain had raped her daughter.
She also accused the police of siding with the suspects.
The woman lamented that despite the fact that rape had been committed, the suspects managed to obtain bail from the court.
