Lahore: In a dramatic and closely contested match of PSL Season 11, Hyderabad Kings edged past Islamabad United by just 2 runs in the second Eliminator to qualify for the final.
The match, played at Gaddafi Stadium, saw Islamabad United winning the toss and opting to field first, putting Hyderabad Kings in to bat.
Hyderabad Kings posted a competitive total of 186 for 5 in their 20 overs. Usman Khan played a key role with an unbeaten 61-run innings, anchoring the batting effort. Captain Marnus Labuschagne contributed 39 runs, while Saim Ayub added 38 runs. Kusal Perera also supported the innings with a valuable 37 runs.
For Islamabad United, Imad Wasim was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets. Chris Green, Richard Gleeson, and Faheem Ashraf picked up one wicket each.
Chasing 187 for victory, Islamabad United fought hard but fell short, finishing at 184 for 7 in their 20 overs.
Mark Chapman top-scored with 43 runs, while Haider Ali made 31 and Devon Conway added 30. Captain Shadab Khan contributed 22 runs, and Chris Green scored 21 runs, but their efforts were not enough to take the team over the line.
