Pakistan and seven other countries have strongly condemned statements by Israeli ministers regarding the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.
A joint statement was issued by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates.
The eight countries rejected any plan or attempt to forcibly remove Palestinians from their homeland, saying such actions would violate international law and could threaten regional stability.
The statement stressed that Gaza is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and called for the territorial unity of Gaza, the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem to be preserved.
The countries said a two-state solution remains the only path to a just and lasting peace. They called for an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement also reaffirmed support for the Palestinian people’s right to remain on their land and rejected all efforts aimed at undermining their legitimate rights.
