Four persons lost their lives, and one became seriously injured when a Mazda collided with a motorcycle on Khanpur Indus Highway in Shikarpur on Friday.
The dead persons were later identified as Khanchand Oad, Hakim, Ramish, and Sohnu Oad.
Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the site of the accident and shifted the dead to the hospital for completion of necessary procedures.
Earlier in 2025, at least seven people were killed and six others injured when a truck crashed into an electric pole and then ran over people sleeping by the roadside on the National Highway bypass near Shikarpur.
Officials said the truck, loaded with vegetables, went out of control before striking the pole and ploughing into the victims, who were local farmers resting near the bypass.
