A man identified as Awais died after drowning in a deep pond in the Kishengrai area of Babuzai, Rescue 1122 officials said.
According to Rescue 1122, water rescue, scuba and medical teams rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident.
Rescue personnel, with the help of local residents, pulled Awais from the pond and provided him with medical assistance.
He was subsequently shifted to Mangalore Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
