US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Friday and discussed a variety of issues with him.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the discussions were centered on Pakistan-US bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.

The Deputy PM appreciated the positive trajectory in Pakistan-US relations and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace.

Dar emphasized that the implementation of the Islamabad MoU of 18 June in letter and spirit is the only way forward.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security while safeguarding its national interests.

The US envoy appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and conveyed felicitations to the Deputy PM on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
