SUKKUR (Bureau Report): Ms. Safia Chandio, a resident of New Pind Bhosa Line, staged a protest outside the Sukkur Press Club along with her young children, alleging that her husband, Manthar Chandio, was brutally murdered in Larkana about a year ago by Shahid Chandio. She claimed that despite the registration of an FIR and the case being under trial in court, the nominated suspect was still at large, while the deceased’s family was allegedly being repeatedly threatened to withdraw the case and complaints.
Speaking to the media during the protest, the affected woman said that her husband, Manthar Chandio, was killed in Larkana approximately one year ago. Following the incident, an FIR was registered at the relevant police station and the matter was taken to court, where proceedings are still underway.
However, she alleged that Shahid Chandio, who was nominated in the murder case, had not yet been arrested.
Safia Chandio said that following her husband’s murder, she and her children were facing severe financial hardship and living in an atmosphere of fear. She appealed to the higher authorities to ensure the immediate arrest of the nominated suspect, provide justice to her family and ensure protection for her and her children.
