Karachi (Report: Pir Bux Noonari)Karachi Deputy Commissioner West Karachi, Ali Zulfiqar Memon, conducted a detailed visit to Banaras, Bacha Khan Chowk, and adjoining areas, where he met with office-bearers of the Banaras Bacha Khan Chowk Action Committee.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected encroachments and reviewed various public issues faced by residents of the area. Town Chairman Mominabad Malik Arif Awan, Municipal Commissioner Mominabad Asghar Ali Banar, Municipal Commissioner Orangi Agha Fahad, SHO Pirabad Wasim Anis, SHO Orangi Channa, DSP Orangi Muhammad Wasim, Assistant Commissioner Aiza Inam, and other officials were present on the occasion.
Local notables welcomed Deputy Commissioner West Ali Zulfiqar Memon at Dera Haji Ghulam Hussain Banaras and presented him with a traditional Sindhi Ajrak.
Action Committee Chairman Siddiq Akbar and other members presented the area’s key issues in detail before the Deputy Commissioner. Ali Zulfiqar Memon listened attentively to their concerns and issued necessary directives to the concerned officers for the resolution of public grievances.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the Action Committee and local residents that practical measures would be taken within three days to remove encroachments from Banaras, Bacha Khan Chowk, and surrounding areas.
Local elders Kazim Hussain, Haji Athar Baz, Haji Ishaq Khan, Tahir Ansari, Nawaz Khan, and other members of the Action Committee were also present.
