SUKKUR (Bureau Report): Sukkur District Council Chairman Syed Kamil Haider Shah has taken full responsibility for the medical treatment of 20-year-old B.Com student Kulsoom Chishti, who is suffering from a serious lung disease, providing another example of humanitarian assistance and public service.
Kulsoom Chishti, who is currently facing a critical medical condition, has been shifted from Sukkur to Karachi through the Sindh government’s air ambulance service to ensure that she receives better and more advanced medical care. She has been transferred to Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi, where she will receive treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors.
According to sources, Syed Kamil Haider Shah was informed about Kulsoom Chishti’s illness and her deteriorating condition. Upon receiving the information, he immediately directed his team to visit the private hospital where the student was being treated, inquire about her health and consult the doctors regarding her medical condition.
The team reached the hospital and reviewed Kulsoom’s medical condition in detail. It also held consultations with the doctors regarding the treatment required and the possibility of providing her with more advanced medical facilities.
Following the medical assessment, arrangements were made to transfer Kulsoom Chishti to Karachi so that she could receive treatment from specialist doctors and have access to better healthcare facilities. She was subsequently shifted from Sukkur to Karachi through the Sindh government’s air ambulance service.
Kulsoom is now receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital, where medical specialists will monitor her condition and oversee her treatment.
Chairman Announces Full Financial Support
Speaking on the occasion, Sukkur District Council Chairman Syed Kamil Haider Shah announced that he would personally bear all expenses related to Kulsoom Chishti’s treatment.
He said that financial considerations would not be allowed to become an obstacle in the young student’s recovery and pledged to continue providing every possible form of assistance until she had fully recovered.
Syed Kamil Haider Shah described Kulsoom Chishti as a bright future of Sukkur and an important source of support for her mother. He said that, for this reason, no shortcoming would be allowed in her treatment.
He assured the family that every effort would be made to provide Kulsoom with the best possible medical facilities and that her treatment would continue without interruption.
The district council chairman also expressed his hope that Kulsoom would make a speedy and complete recovery under the supervision of specialist doctors at Aga Khan Hospital.
He said he was praying for her recovery and hoped that, after receiving appropriate medical treatment, she would soon regain her health and be able to resume her education.
Air Ambulance Service Provides Timely Access to Healthcare
Syed Kamil Haider Shah also highlighted the role of the Sindh government’s air ambulance service in transferring critically ill and needy patients to Karachi in a timely manner.
He said the service was helping patients from different parts of the province gain access to better and specialized healthcare facilities without unnecessary delays.
According to him, providing timely transportation to patients suffering from serious illnesses is an important step toward improving public healthcare services.
The transfer of Kulsoom Chishti from Sukkur to Karachi through the air ambulance service was also described as an example of how such facilities can help critically ill patients reach specialized medical centers more quickly.
