Hyderabad Administration Reviews Preparations for Pakistan Independence Day

HYDERABAD (Mahboob Hussain Buzdar): On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner Complex to review preparations for the August 14 Independence Day celebrations.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Mahwish Buriro and attended by officials from the Health, Education, Police, Information, Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Hyderabad, and other relevant departments.

During the meeting, detailed arrangements for Independence Day were reviewed. The additional deputy commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure special cleanliness arrangements at union councils, towns, schools, and other public places ahead of August 14.

She also instructed that all government offices should be decorated with national flags and green lights. Flag-hoisting and cake-cutting ceremonies will be organized at government institutions on Independence Day.

Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Mahwish Buriro directed Education Department officials to arrange Urdu, Sindhi, and English speech competitions as well as national songs at schools for both male and female students.

She said such activities would help promote patriotism and national spirit among the younger generation.

The additional deputy commissioner also directed the police administration to ensure foolproof security and effective traffic management during Independence Day celebrations across Hyderabad.

All relevant departments were instructed to remain in close coordination and complete their assigned responsibilities effectively.

The meeting emphasized that all arrangements should be completed well before August 14 so that Independence Day celebrations can be held in Hyderabad with national spirit, discipline, order, and enthusiasm.

Officials were also directed to ensure that public places and event venues remain clean, organized, and safe throughout the celebrations.
