According to the latest statistics, Pakistan ranked 9th globally in 2024 with approximately 3.56 billion app downloads. Interestingly, the country held the same position in 2022 with 3.5 billion downloads, highlighting Pakistan’s consistent presence and steady growth in the global app market.
Pakistan has emerged as a rapidly growing hub for mobile applications and technology. Reports indicate that in 2022, app downloads in Pakistan rose by 35.4%, driven by the increasing use of smartphones and expanding internet access nationwide.
Globally, China tops the list with the highest number of downloads, followed by India, Brazil, and Indonesia, which hold second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
Technology experts predict a further rise in app downloads in Pakistan, fueled by its youthful population, growing freelance economy, and digital transformation initiatives.
