{"id":9720,"date":"2026-08-06T12:43:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T12:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9720"},"modified":"2026-08-06T12:43:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T12:43:12","slug":"umerkot-administration-reviews-arrangements-for-independence-day-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9720","title":{"rendered":"Umerkot Administration Reviews Arrangements for Independence Day Celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UMERKOT <\/strong>A high-level meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner\u2019s Office Umerkot under the chairmanship of <strong>Deputy Commissioner Naveed-ur-Rehman Larik<\/strong> to review arrangements for the <strong>Independence Day celebrations on August 14, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding various programmes and administrative arrangements to celebrate Pakistan\u2019s Independence Day with national spirit, dignity, and enthusiasm across the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was attended by <strong>Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Javed Ahmed Dahri, Chairman District Council Umerkot Haji Muhammad Bakhsh Palh, Assistant Commissioner Umerkot Rajab Ali Sathio, Assistant Commissioner Samaro Sanjay Kumar Tarkio, Assistant Commissioner Kunri Muhammad Khan Bhangwar, Assistant Commissioner Pithoro Ghulam Ali Tariq<\/strong>, and officers from various government departments, including health, education, social welfare, municipal administration, irrigation, HESCO, public health engineering, agriculture, forests, highways, and other relevant institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representatives of the press, including <strong>Umerkot Press Club management committee chairman and president Rahimdani Cricket Academy Umerkot Rasool Bakhsh Rahimdani<\/strong>, information department officials, social organizations, and other stakeholders also participated in the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Naveed-ur-Rehman Larik said that <strong>Independence Day is a symbol of national unity, solidarity, and a renewal of commitment to patriotism<\/strong>. He directed all government departments to perform their responsibilities effectively so that the celebrations could be organized in a dignified, memorable, and well-managed manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He instructed that the national flag should be hoisted on all government and semi-government buildings, while offices should be decorated with national flags and lighting arrangements. He also directed educational institutions to organize national songs, speech competitions, tableaus, flag-hoisting ceremonies, plantation drives, and other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Deputy Commissioner ordered relevant departments to ensure foolproof security, smooth traffic management, cleanliness arrangements, availability of clean drinking water, medical facilities, uninterrupted power supply, and emergency response measures during the central ceremony, rallies, and public gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Municipal Committee was directed to ensure cleanliness and beautification of the city, while HESCO, Public Health Engineering, and other departments were instructed to complete their assigned tasks on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was decided in the meeting that the main Independence Day ceremony would be held at <strong>Degree College Umerkot<\/strong>, where the national flag will be hoisted at <strong>8:58 am on August 14<\/strong>.
