According to ISPR, the operation was being conducted under the supervision of Captain Asmad on the night of January 3, around 2:00 AM, when a snow slab unexpectedly collapsed. The avalanche struck the team involved in clearing snow for operational movement in the area, leading to the deaths of three personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased have been identified as Captain Asmad, Sepoy Rizwan, and machine operator Isa. Captain Asmad, aged 28, hailed from Lahore, while Sepoy Rizwan was from Attock, and Isa, the machine operator, was a resident of Astor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ISPR stated that despite immediate and strenuous rescue efforts, all three were found under the fallen snow in critical condition and succumbed to their injuries.
