However, he said that the matter is still under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing a laptop distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Programme, Governor Nihal Hashmi said that providing laptops to students is a matter of pride and that the initiative is the result of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that the Holy Quran\u2019s first command was \u201cIqra\u201d (read), emphasizing the importance of education and knowledge. He added that providing educational opportunities and modern technology to youth would help them progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The governor said Pakistan aims to achieve an IT export target of $25 billion and that investment in education has remained a priority of the federal government. He also highlighted the success of young Pakistani entrepreneurs, calling their achievements a source of pride for the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking about comparisons between Lahore and Karachi, Nihal Hashmi said both cities should learn from each other rather than engage in criticism. He added that the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Laptop Scheme has reached its tenth phase, with around 700,000 laptops already distributed among students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the death of Karachi businessman Mir Raza, the Sindh governor said, \u201cMir Raza did not commit suicide; he was hit by four bullets. This is my information, while the case investigation is ongoing.\u201d He expressed sorrow over the death of any young person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nihal Hashmi further stated that Karachi\u2019s security arrangements need continuous improvement due to the city\u2019s large population.
