{"id":9307,"date":"2026-08-03T13:37:29","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T13:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9307"},"modified":"2026-08-03T13:37:29","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T13:37:29","slug":"badin-administration-reviews-arrangements-for-polio-booster-dose-campaign-starting-august-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9307","title":{"rendered":"Badin Administration Reviews Arrangements for Polio Booster Dose Campaign Starting August 23"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Badin:<\/strong> A meeting of the <strong>District Polio Eradication Committee<\/strong> was held under the chairmanship of <strong>Deputy Commissioner Badin Yasir Bhatti<\/strong> at the committee room to review arrangements for the upcoming <strong>Polio Booster Dose Campaign<\/strong>, scheduled to begin on <strong>August 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, officials reviewed the preparations, targets, and monitoring mechanisms for the special vaccination drive. Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti said that the polio booster dose campaign would be launched in <strong>10 Union Councils of Badin district<\/strong> and would be conducted separately from routine polio campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained that under this campaign, <strong>oral polio vaccine (OPV)<\/strong> would be administered to children from birth to four months of age, while children aged <strong>five months to 10 years<\/strong> would receive polio vaccination through jet injectors. A total of <strong>205 trained personnel<\/strong> will perform duties during the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Deputy Commissioner stressed that parents must play their role in protecting the healthy future of their children by ensuring their participation in the vaccination drive. He urged citizens to cooperate fully with vaccination teams visiting their homes and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yasir Bhatti said that an effective monitoring system has been established to ensure transparent and successful implementation of the campaign. He warned that negligence or carelessness would not be tolerated during the vaccination process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the district administration, cooperation from every citizen is essential for complete eradication of polio and to help Pakistan become a permanently polio-free country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Deputy Commissioner said that the booster dose campaign would cover specific Union Councils, including <strong>Bedmi, Bhagra Memon, and Shaheed Dodo Soomro<\/strong> in Taluka Badin. In <strong>Taluka Matli<\/strong>, Union Councils <strong>City-I and City-II<\/strong> have been included, while in <strong>Taluka Shaheed Fazal Rahu<\/strong>, the campaign will be conducted in <strong>Ahmed Rajo, Kundyari, Khorwah Chowk, Muhammad Shah Garari, and Shaheed Fazal Rahu Union Councils<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, <strong>Dr. Karim Bux Gadaahi<\/strong>, the district polio focal person, gave a detailed briefing about the campaign. He informed participants that the booster dose drive would target two categories of children: those from <strong>birth to four months<\/strong> and those from <strong>five months to 10 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said a total target of <strong>97,066 children<\/strong> has been set for vaccination.
