{"id":9251,"date":"2026-08-03T12:39:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T12:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9251"},"modified":"2026-08-03T12:39:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T12:39:45","slug":"goods-transporters-announce-nationwide-indefinite-strike-from-august-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9251","title":{"rendered":"Goods Transporters Announce Nationwide Indefinite Strike from August 8"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> The <strong>All Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance<\/strong> has announced an <strong>indefinite nationwide strike<\/strong> starting <strong>August 8<\/strong> in protest against government policies affecting the transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing a press conference, Alliance President <strong>Malik Shahzad Awan<\/strong> said the strike would begin on <strong>Saturday, August 8<\/strong>, and continue until the group&#8217;s demands are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The alliance called for the resignation of <strong>Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik<\/strong> and demanded the immediate withdrawal of recent increases in <strong>petroleum prices and toll taxes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transporters also urged the government to fix <strong>diesel and petrol prices on a monthly basis<\/strong> instead of making daily adjustments.
